Kakaire Amos is a 36-year-old husband and father of two young sons (ages 8 and 6) from Jinja City, Uganda. We come to you all today because his family is currently facing a serious medical emergency.

His wife, who is 8 months pregnant, has been diagnosed with a breech presentation, a condition that makes natural delivery unsafe. Medical professionals have confirmed that she must undergo a cesarean section by the end of April to ensure the safety of both mother and baby. The total cost of the operation is $600 (a little more than 2,000,000 UGX).

While holding a diploma in Business Administration, he has been unable to secure stable employment for some time and despite reaching out to family, friends, and relatives, Amos has not been able to raise the necessary funds in time. The situation is urgent, and without this procedure, there is a real risk of losing both his wife and child.

Because GoFundMe is not supported in Uganda, this fundraiser is being organized on his behalf by a professor and a group of his PhD students from Kennesaw, who will receive donations and ensure the funds are transferred to cover the medical expenses. The funds will be sent via Western Union directly to the hospital to cover the impending medical costs.
