Hi guys, I am a friend of Amber's whose baby, Tyson, is very sick right now. She rescued him around 10 years ago from the city shelter and has been one of the best dog mommies there could ever be. Due to her being such a caring mom to Tyson, during preventive x-rays, one of the worst discoveries was made. He has a mass on his heart.

Amber took Tyson to the cardiologist the same day (yesterday) and then for a CT scan today. The ECHO showed likely hemangiosarcoma. Spots were also found on his spleen during the CT, and internal medicine obtained samples and sent them out. He will be seeing the Oncologist on Monday, if not sooner. This is an emergent situation that requires back-to-back appointments, with little knowledge of an outcome. We all know how expensive vets are, especially specialists, so I wanted to try to help in some way.

Some of you may know Amber in the animal community. She has played a priceless role in lost and found rescue in our community, as well as those around us. She does all this on her own time and dime. If anyone is deserving in the community, it's her.
