Dear friends,
We’re raising urgent support for Alina, a 29-year-old mother in Pomona, California, and her one-year-old daughter.
Two years ago, Alina and her husband fled Russia after he was summoned to join the war. As a conscientious objector, he refused — knowing he would face prosecution. They had no choice but to leave everything behind. They legally entered the U.S. through political asylum, seeking peace and safety.
After spending 100 days in Tijuana, they legally entered in the U.S. with $300. Alina worked delivering food. Just days after giving birth, she returned to work. Her husband was her rock — helping raise their daughter and build a stable life.
But on June 4, during a routine immigration court hearing, ICE officers detained her husband without warning. He’s now being held in Adelanto, and Alina is left alone, with no income, no family nearby, and a lease that expires in two weeks. Her savings are gone, spent on legal fees to fight for her husband’s release.
Alina is doing everything she can — working part-time and trying to secure daycare to return to full-time work — but time is running out.
She’s not asking for charity, just a lifeline to keep her home and care for her baby.
Please consider donating, sharing, or sending a kind word. Every dollar goes toward rent, baby needs, and legal support.
They stood for peace. They followed every legal path. Now they need us.
Thank you
