One of my best friends in the world is in dire need of support. On October 5th, Alexis took her dog Phaedra to the emergency vet with some very alarming symptoms. The high fever, lethargy, low blood sugar and vomiting were a new extreme after weeks of issues that saw them in and out of the vet, hoping for the best. Her tiny body continues to fight with no real answers, except a speculation that she has a mysterious liver infection. After going home for the night, she is back in the ER again today, with the bills wiping out her savings entirely. Everyone who knows and loves Alexis has seen her go through some of the worst years of her life recently— with Phae by her side. Facing challenges no human should have to ever experience, one right after the other with no respite, she has gotten through it all with her special little dog running to her room every morning to kiss her face. They are truly the joy of each others lives. Phaedra is even the cornerstone of Alexis’s dog walking business. Let’s show them as much love as we can right now, any little bit counts so she can continue to focus her efforts on healing her.
