Hi everyone, my name is Ruth Bassuk! As many of you know, my fiancé Abelardo Mena Rivero, who is truly my husband after 11 years of being together, has passed away from pancreatic cancer. After suffering for many, many months, his suffering finally came to an end on Friday, October 10, 2025.

Unfortunately, due to him being out of work for a long period of time because of the cancer, I'm unable to afford the cremation and the funeral expenses. I am asking for help and I'm not big on asking for help, but I do need it.

Unfortunately, the place will not take payments and I need to come up with the money as soon as I can! Otherwise, I will not be able to receive his ashes or get the cremation done. If anyone is able to send anything at all, I would be beyond grateful as anything will help!

My husband Abelardo did not deserve this; he had so much more life to live, but that was taken away by cancer. I will forever be brokenhearted as he was my everything. Now it's just me and my daughter, who works so much just to try to make ends meet and pay bills, but even that's not enough. So, I am asking for help as I cannot do this by myself. My family is also trying their best to help me out, but it is a lot of money. If anyone is able to send anything at all, it would be greatly appreciated more than you will ever know. Thank you!
