I am Abdel Halim Khalil Saleh, a father of four. Since 2023, we have been displaced three times, losing our home, health, and stability. I am raising funds to provide my family with food, clean water, shelter, and urgent medical care.

My name is Abdel Halim Khalil Saleh, I am 43 years old, and my wife, Yasmin Mohamed Saleh, is 37. We have four children:

Alaa (14 years old)

Mohamed (13 years old)

Ahmed (10 years old)

Habiba (9 years old)

Our Story

Before October 7th, we were living in our new home - a home we had worked so hard for and moved into only one month earlier.

Everything changed when our home was partially damaged. As things worsened and our home became unlivable, we were forced to flee for the first time-my wife, my four children, and I - seeking safety.

The Displacements

First Displacement: We stayed at a relative's home, but within a week, that area became unsafe.

Second Displacement: We moved to another area. Conditions there were extremely harsh - no clean drinking water, little food, and no basic hygiene supplies like soap or shampoo. The poor conditions caused my children to develop rashes, infections, and illnesses due to cold and cold and malnutrition.

Third Displacement: We were ordered to evacuate again and fled. There we found no drinkable water, severe cold and even worse living conditions, each time leaving behind what precious belongings we had.

Health Challenges

I have asthma and require ongoing medications
My wife suffers from gastroesophageal reflux, a stomach infection, mitral valve prolapse, and atrial fibrillation. She needs continuous treatment, which is impossible to get now.
My eldest son, Alaa (14) had an enlarged lymph node in his neck requiring surgery. He was in intensive care for three days and is in recovery now.

How the Funds Will Help Us

Your donations will be used for:

Food and clean drinking water- aid sites are very risky to get to, especially with my health conditions, and food prices have skyrocketed.
Rent for safe land space or temporary shelter
Medical Treatment and Medicine for my wife, my son, and myself. These are available at a high cost.
Hygiene Supplies to prevent rashes and diseases
Warm clothing and blankets for the children

How I Will Transfer Funds

Funds will be collected in the USA (via Rosa Baier, my campaign organizer and good friend who video chats and communicates with us daily) and sent to me through safe and legal channels such as PayPal . I will share receipts, photos, and updates so every donor knows exactly how their contribution is helping.

A Final Word

Yasmin has 7 siblings, five of whom are living within similar conditions and we have suffered so much loss already. Her only brother has attempted to do what he can with is resources.

My daughter, Habiba, once told me: “Dad, I want to go to heaven… so I can eat everything I want.” And my son Alaa once said: “Dad, death is better than humiliation.” These words break my heart as a father.
