I'm a trans woman who recently moved to Washington from Florida. Getting my feet on the ground has been difficult, but I've been trying my best. Coming up here, I thought I'd have at least a bit of support from my family, or at least a return of some of the $5000+ I've lent them over the years, but I've only ever been paid back a couple hundred. I was assured that I'd see at least a couple thousand of that soon after I got up here, though that's never materialized.

Though I never intended to use that money to cover my living expenses, and have a job, it hasn't provided the hours I expected or desired, leaving me with fewer than eight hours a week.

Simply put, because I was lied to by my father about being paid back and work has left me with fewer hours than I'd like. As such, I am unable to meet the cost of bills this month, and I need help to cover it.

Anything given will go to paying bills such as rent, utilities, and necessities. I won't be using it for unnecessary things.

August 31st, 2025 Edit: I've met my goal for rent and initially closed the fundraiser. Some people have still expressed interest in donating, though, so I've reopened it.
