My late mother’s great friend has been a part of our family for as long as I can remember. She’s always been there for us and for so many others in our community, offering kindness and support without ever expecting anything in return. Now, she’s facing some of the toughest challenges of her life. She’s in her 70s, lives alone in her apartment, and doesn’t have a vehicle to get around. On top of that, her health has been declining, and she has multiple major health issues that prevent her from working. The bills are piling up, her rent is increasing, and the daily cost of living is becoming overwhelming. She’s also had to cope with the grief of losing loved ones unexpectedly, which has made this time even more difficult for her. Despite all of this, she remains strong and never complains, but I know how much she’s struggling right now. She’s always been the one to help others, but now she’s the one who needs support. The funds raised will go directly toward her medical bills, rent, and daily expenses, giving her some much-needed relief and allowing her to focus on her health and well-being.
