Urgent Help for a Pet's Surgery

My baby boy slipped out a couple nights ago and came back home within 24 hours, but when he came home, it looks like he was hurt. His tail look to be separated if that makes sense and I knew something was immediately wrong. I went to the vet the next day and they told me that it looks like someone ran over his tail, and that’s the end of his tail needs to be amputated. This procedure will cost at most $450 . I am a full-time college student and I don’t have a job. I have the funds that I can for the month to survive and I have what I can to put into the surgery, but I don’t have enough. I’m not one to ask for money, but in this case It will all be going towards my baby boy to help with his discomfort anything is appreciated.
