Urgent Help for a Father Battling Cancer

Donation protected
I'm a loving father and a husband. I've worked every minute that I can of my life. I am a war veteran from back in Yugoslavian Civil war in the early 1990s. I brought my family here in USA to provide them a better life. On July 2, 2024, I was in so much pain that I could not work. My daughter helped me to take me to the ER at UT Southwestern Emergency room that evening as my toe was dying and turned black. I got admitted to the hospital and have been staying for 15 days. I lost my job and I cannot work anymore. I have been suffering with diabetes for past 10 years.

They found out I have vascular disease that required severe surgeries the past 3 weeks for me to be able to keep my leg and not have it amputated. They did remove my toe. During my hospitalization, they found out that I have lung cancer. This is very hard for me and my family. I don’t have insurance and I don’t have any money for my medical bills.

Update: 9.28.24 After much effort and securing financial assistance from a charity, I was finally able to see a cancer specialist. As you may know, I currently have no income and have been struggling to cover rent and food costs. I was diagnosed with stage 2 lung cancer (Adenocarcinoma), and after several tests, the doctors have determined that surgery isn’t an option until the tumor shrinks. I’ll be undergoing chemotherapy until December, with hopes of surgery afterward. I haven’t been able to work since the end of June, and my family and I are still trying to figure out how to cover basic needs like food and bills. Any assistance with rent and food would be greatly appreciated.
