We are reaching out today with an urgent and heartfelt plea for help. Winter is here, and we are facing a critical situation in feeding our animals.

We have managed to source the essential haylage which is at the other side of the lake district to us but is where it is the cheapest we have found for good quality haylage . In our area haylage is being sold for £75 to £150 for 1 bale , this is crazy so we are urgently needing funds to get this haylage we have found to see our animals through the coldest months, but we are facing the overwhelming cost. The haylage itself will cost £5,240. On top of that, we will need to pay an additional £200-£300 to have it unloaded and stored upon delivery.

This is a cost we simply cannot cover alone.

As many of you know, we also have ongoing weekly expenses for hay and straw to keep our animals healthy, warm, and fed. This massive, one-off bill for the winter's haylage, coming on top of our regular costs, has created a perfect storm that threatens our ability to provide the care our animals deserve.

Why is this so critical?

Haylage is a vital winter feed,providing the necessary nutrients and energy for our animals when there is no grass. Without it, their health and well-being are at serious risk. We cannot let them go hungry.

This is where we desperately need your support.

We are asking for your help to raise the £5,500 needed to secure the haylage and cover the unloading costs. Every single donation, no matter the size, will go directly towards keeping our animals fed and safe.

· £10 could help feed one animal for a week.

· £50 could contribute significantly to the unloading costs.

· £100 could pay for 2 bales of the essential haylage.
