Hello everyone,

My name is Federico, and I am creating this GoFundMe to support close friends of ours — a beautiful family of five — who lost their home and everything they own in the fires in Harcourt, Victoria.

Their names are Gladys, Nick, and their three children: Tenzin (7), Sherazade (5), and Clementine (18 months).

Nick is a teacher, and Gladys is a full-time mum who also homeschools their children. They moved from Woodend to Harcourt just four weeks ago.

They were at home when the fire reached their property and were forced to escape on foot with only a small backpack and their passports. Everything else was lost.

At this time, Nick is unable to return to work. The family is currently staying with us, and while they are very welcome, we are also a family of four living in a very small home. We want them to have the space and support they need to breathe, rest, and begin to recover from this deeply traumatic event.

We are helping organise clothing and immediate essentials, and we are also trying to find longer-term rental accommodation for them in the Castlemaine area.

We understand that the cost of living is challenging for many people. If you are able to contribute, any support — no matter the amount — would help ease the financial pressure they are under and support them as they work towards getting back on their feet.

Ultimately, they need financial support and a new long term rental, ideally in the Castlemaine area.
