Urgent: Help Ellen & her Service Dog find Shelter and food

Donation protected
My name is Ellen and I am disabled with a deadly neuromuscular disease. Babies born with my disease die, as well as children who have my disease going through puberty. I am the oldest living person with my particular disease. The Mayo Clinic knows and follows me.

My metabolic cycle does not run because the key to start it does not exist in my body, just barely. So, to function, I take life-sustaining medicine to help force my body the way it would function as if the metabolism were running. It is not as productive, and if pressed too hard, I can set my heart into failure, as well as my respiratory muscles, and push too much lactic acid into my body, causing my kidneys to shut down as well.

Essentially, I would be completely aware, but unable to move any muscles, in severe pain, then stop breathing. My heart would become heavy, as my kidneys would flood and shut down, ultimately leading to my systemic toxic death.

My heart has stopped once. I have been in respiratory failure numerous times and had to learn to walk many times over.

With this being said, to limit energy output and to keep me safe, I have a service dog. Not everyone likes that. People demand I follow pet laws instead of Service Dog laws.

Imagine being told you could not use your wheelchair the way, when, or where you needed to so you could function and remain safe. Now apply that to a Service Dog that keeps you from going through the damage I could sustain. That is what I battle often.

My landlord and tenants bullied me over my Service Dog for nearly 9 months and circumvented the Federal Service Dog Laws, leading me to be kicked out on a 10-day eviction.

I have a new home to go to, but the landlord is trying to sabotage my new place of residence via their anger. They have refused to let me stay for 2 weeks to wait until I get my new place. They have refused my annual Renters Rebate. They have refused to acknowledge my state residency to allow me my driver's license renewal, car registration, inspection, and state registration.

I have a new place that I am lined up for and pre-qualified for, but the landlord is refusing to place the reference to acknowledge this is where I came from. Thankfully, I know someone who is in that different management group; they are going to push through the paperwork. I now have to survive the wait of the Move-In Inspection, then I sign the lease, and I am in my new home.

Community Action will pay my first month's rent and security deposit, given my situation.

I just need a place to stay until the new place is ready.

Will you help fund my ability to stay in a safe hotel and food cost until I can get to my next place? Please?

I found a decent and cheap hotel, safe and nearby for $69 a night. About $75 with taxes and fees. It will take my Service Dog, no problem. I figure 10-12 days worst case and hope for 5-7. I am hoping for a small microwave and fridge to help cut the cost of food; if not, DoorDash, here we come.

I hope you will find it in your heart to help me out. I don't need anything fancy, just a safe place with a bed. And not in my car dying from a jerk because I'm deaf.

Thank you.
