Brothers and sisters, we have created this fundraising to support our brother Edrissa Touray for his leg surgery. He is a 37 years old male residing in The Gambia with his family.

Edrissa was involved in a tragic car accident on 09/10/2019 where unfortunately three people died (Sise Jaha Sawaneh, Papa Touray and Saikou Lagareh Touray ), May Allah SWT grant them the highest rank of Jannah.

This accident left Edrissa Touray and Buba Halima Wagueh with life-changing injuries. Edrissa leg was broken during the accident, he underwent a surgery in The Gambia and in Ghana. However, both surgeries were not successful and his condition has unfortunately deteriorated causing other health conditions.

Edrissa past surgery involved of the insertion of an intermedullary rod and screws to fix his broken leg to allow mobility. However, X-ray show that the screws and the rod are now out of position. This is now causing him injuries to surrounding internal tissue, chronic severe pain and reduced mobility.

Edrissa’s dream is to undergo surgery to fix his current situation so he can stand to pray, be independent and hopefully continue his life free of pain.

In Islam, Allah (SWT) emphasizes the importance of sadaqah (voluntary charity) and encourages Muslims to help the sick, with the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) stating, "Treat your sick ones with charity".

It is believed to bring blessings and mercy from Allah (SWT).

It is seen as a way to purify the soul and avert potential harm.

It can help to alleviate suffering and bring comfort to those in need.
