Hi everyone, I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friend Cheryl Hutchinson, a kind, resilient woman living in Vancouver with cerebral palsy spastic quadriplegia.

Cheryl relies on a power wheelchair for mobility and requires full-time care. She’s currently facing a difficult situation that she can’t handle alone, and I’m hoping we can come together to support her as this is the first time she seeks financial assistance online.

Her wheelchair broke a few months back and she was unable to secure another one, a friend lent her an old beaten up chair (as seen in the picture is missing an arm rest therefore Cheryl had to strap herself onto the chair). But she still managed to use it, but unfortunately this chair has also stopped working.

Please contribute with anything you can to help support Cheryl in buying a new wheelchair or to have hers fixed. She is fully reliant on government support and this whole situation has caused a great deal of stress for her.

Estimated costs to fix the wheel chair are around 3000-4000$. Anything over that will go towards purchasing a new reliable wheelchair alongside government support (these cost around 20-30k!
