Hi, my name is India and I am starting a fundraiser to help my friend, a Black and fem-identifying Kenyon alum, afford legal support. On March 30, 2024, the Columbus Police Department detained my friend for attending the March with Palestine for Land Liberation protest in Goodale Park. My friend has been able to secure a lawyer to represent her, but the legal fee for representation and the cost of fines from the Columbus courts cost upwards of $4,000.

The only two people arrested, out of nearly 70 people in attendance, were people of color. I understand that money is always tight, but I ask that you please donate to this fundraiser so that my friend and Kenyon Alum is able to receive the legal support she needs.
