URGENT: Help Awab's Family Escape the Violence in Sudan

Hi everyone! I'm helping my family friend Awab and his family escape the war in Sudan.

Awab Misbah is a 24-year-old university student who had to pause his studies and take on freelance work in Gedaref State, far from his family, due to the ongoing conflict. Awab’s family of eight initially fled their home in Omdurman to Al-Jazeera State, hoping for safety. However, things changed drastically when Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militias launched a brutal attack on the city of Tambool, forcing many families, including Awab’s, to flee once again. Some relatives managed to escape, while others remain trapped, and many community members have been tragically lost.

The violence is worsening, and Awab’s family is now trying to reach Egypt to escape the RSF’s violence. They’re living in makeshift shelters with little food or protection, facing extreme hardships.

We are urgently asking for support to help them make this dangerous journey and secure a safe place to live. Funds will go toward transportation, temporary shelter, and basic necessities, as well as ensuring Awab’s younger siblings can continue their education, which is becoming increasingly difficult in this crisis.
