Urgent Help after Tornado in my county.

Hello, My Name is Dawn Ehrich-Hopper, My life had gone through a number of adversites over the last eight months. My husband started abusing me and when I left him, and attempted to have him served with a TPO he shot himself in our home. he servived the injuries and is undergoing treatment for chemical abuse in a expensive facility. I suffered abuse after that by "predatory" friend who I removed myself from and then was in a bad car accident totaling my car.

All this and I am one of the many memebers of the fiml-makers strike so I have been out of work and have not secured another form of income. my house is on the path to forclosure.

I was able to obtain a forebarence, however, I am at the end of that period and now must come up with mortgage payments again.

now that the strike has ened and work is slowely returning I can see hope again with income. My losses have become too overwhelming to catch up and I will need to claim bankruptcy and go to food banks just to eat. Then just last week my neighborhood was hit by a tornado in Rockdale County. I cannot cover the Decuctable on the insurence and there is no coverege to remove the eleven trees downed in my yard!

This last crititcal event has crushed me and I cannot cope. I will need funds for a divorce Lawyer as well. I am stuggling to get a legal Aid, That simply is not as easy as people think And I want to be free of the man who drained my bank accounts and physically harmed me.

I have nothing but police warrants to keep my husband away from our home because I have not been granted a restraining order yet. Our laws do not protect us the way we think and my husband has the legal right to return home and threaten my life again at any time!

I have hit a wall of desperation and I am begging my comminity to help me. I will simply be homeless soon.
