URGENT — PLEASE HELP US MEET A COURT-ORDERED DEADLINE
My daughter and I are facing an extremely difficult situation, and time is running out.
Gwinnett County has ordered me to have our swimming pool professionally drained and rinsed because of a code enforcement violation. This is NOT a request to repair, renovate, or restore our pool for swimming. It is strictly to comply with a court order.
The estimated cost of having this work professionally completed is $1,500–$1,700, money I simply do not have. I am asking for financial assistance because I cannot afford to comply with this court order on my own.
Our next court date is November 10, and I am desperately trying to have the work completed by Friday, November 6.
If I cannot comply, I could face substantial fines and even jail time, and I would STILL be responsible for having the pool drained and rinsed.
I am a widow raising my daughter, who has autism. Over the years, we have lost nearly all of our family members on both my late husband’s side and my own. We have no immediate family left to turn to. This has left us with very little family support during an already difficult time.
I have been trying to resolve this situation, but financial hardship and a recent illness have made an already difficult situation even harder. I have been sick with the flu, which has also delayed my efforts.
We urgently need financial help to meet this deadline.
If you are able to make a donation, no matter the amount, Megan and I would be deeply grateful. If donating isn’t possible, I completely understand, but PLEASE consider sharing our fundraiser. Every share helps us reach someone who might be able to help.
This is about complying with the law, avoiding further penalties, and keeping our home and family secure.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any help you can offer.
