hey everyone! i'm fundraising to help my friend find an apartment who is currently trying to escape an abusive and homophobic situation at home. they are a lesbian who currently lives in a muslim household & it isn't safe for them to live there anymore due to having an abusive mother & brother who has been making their life hell many years. recently, they were almost attacked by their brother who visits quite frequently. every time he visits, they need to leave the apartment for their own safety & it is getting extremely unbearable mentally for them. it is worsening their mental health & is no longer a good idea for them to live there. they have had to call the cops on him multiple times in the past, too. they're currently working a part time position at a store & are trying to also secure a second job to start work full time. they don’t have a car & currently live in a city where public transportation is not very good. dealing with all of this has been super challenging due to their health worsening because of constant migraines but they are trying their absolute best to make this happen.
