I’m sharing this on behalf of a dear friend — a devoted single mom who is fighting every day to keep her children safe, healthy, and housed.
This mom has a Master’s degree and multiple certifications. She’s always worked hard and prioritized her children above everything else. Her 3.5-year-old son was born with a rare heart disability that requires constant, specialized care at home — care that cannot be safely provided by outside caregivers or nurses without unreasonably high costs.
Recently, she had to leave a domestic violence situation to protect her children. As a result, she fell two months behind on rent and is now thousands of dollars behind on critical bills, including dental and medical expenses.
She has applied to over 150 remote jobs but hasn’t yet been able to find one that allows her to stay home and care for her son. Despite all this, she keeps pushing forward every day with strength and courage.
She isn’t asking for extras or luxuries — only for enough help to keep her children safe and together while she gets back on her feet.
