Hi, my name is Ntumba (Melodie Mutombo), and I am writing with a heavy heart and a desperate plea for four beautiful, innocent children who have been left with absolutely no one.
This is the story of Dorcas (12), and her three siblings (8, 4, and 3). They are alone in the world. Their father passed away, and their mother has now run away to a different city; abandoning them completely. They have no parent, no guardian, and are facing each day with no food, no upkeep funds, and the constant terror of being utterly unprotected.
Dorcas is only twelve years old, but life has forced her to be an adult for years.
After her father's death, her mother would vanish for long periods, leaving Dorcas - a child herself - to feed, protect, and raise her five younger siblings. To put food in their mouths, this little girl was forced to work in a mine, carrying a burden no child should ever know.
Now, her small body is broken. She is constantly sick, weak, and exhausted. She has given every ounce of her strength to keep her siblings alive. She has nothing left to give. She can no longer work. She can no longer be their sole protector.
Four children are alone. Unprotected. Scared.
We are doing all we can, but our resources are stretched to the limit. We cannot afford to provide the 24/7 care they desperately need. And in places like the DR Congo, leaving young girls alone is not just neglectful - it is deadly. The risk of them being taken advantage of is a terrifying, immediate threat.
We are turning to you today not out of weakness, but out of love and sheer urgency.
We believe that our community worldwide will show up for children who cannot speak for themselves.
Your donation will directly provide:
· A full-time, live-in nanny to provide constant care and protection.
· Nutritious food and clean water.
· Essential clothing and hygiene supplies.
· Urgent medical treatment for Dorcas to restore her health and strength.
· A safe, supervised home where they can finally sleep without fear.
These children deserve protection, warmth, and care. They deserve a chance to be children - not just survivors.
This holiday season, if you can give one gift, please give the gift of a safe childhood.
A gift that brings safety.
A gift they will carry forever.
A gift that restores hope.
From the bottom of our hearts—and on behalf of Dorcas, her siblings, and our entire Hope G.C.L.M. family; thank you for any support you can offer.
Their story can change because of you.
Their future can shift because of you.
Hope can rise because of you.
Please, donate and share this story as far as you can. Your help is crucial for their survival. Please act now to support these vulnerable children.
