Hi, my name is Walid, and I’m reaching out for my cousin brother, Zaid, an 18-year-old student who is currently fighting for his life after a devastating accident.

Zaid was on a bike with his best friend when they were struck by a large truck. The impact was severe and tragic—his best friend sadly did not survive the accident. While we mourn this heartbreaking loss, Zaid is still here, holding on and fighting for his life.

He is admitted to Aga Khan University Hospital, (Karachi) where he has undergone multiple long and extremely critical surgeries. Zaid suffered severe trauma to his head—his skull was badly broken, and fragments of the smaller bones have caused damage to his brain as well. His entire face, including his forehead, was shattered and has required reconstruction using metal. His nose is critically injured, and he remains in a very fragile state. The surgeries were long and complex, and despite everything the doctors have done, he is still on a ventilator, struggling every moment to survive.

This has been an unbearable time for our family. His father, the only breadwinner, has already taken out heavy loans just to arrange the initial deposit for the hospital. We still don’t know how long Zaid will need to remain under intensive care, and the costs are continuing to rise beyond what the family can manage. His parents are completely overwhelmed, and his siblings are in deep emotional distress, unable to cope with seeing their brother in such a critical condition.

The hospital requires at least £10,000 to continue his urgent treatment—an amount that is simply out of reach for the family at this time.
