My 10-year-old son was recently transferred from Renown Medical Center in Reno to Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT. He is in critical condition in the pediatric cardiac ICU with a failing heart. He declined severely fast in just 3 days and is in need of a heart transplant. To buy him time, he is receiving an LVAD (left ventricular assist device) to help his heart pump blood into his body until a donor heart becomes available. Myself (his mom), my boyfriend, his dad, and stepmom are all here with him while we make this unexpected and scary journey with him.

I hate that we are going through this. It's one of those things that you think will never happen to you. But we are here now and we are going to push through to get him back to our happy, sweet, caring, playing little boy. While we are here with him, we of course, like everyone, still have bills back home. Anything helps, even just sharing. Thank you so much for everything.
