Hi, my name is Sarah, I am lucky enough to have run many music events and festivals at Wrights Care Farm Project, a community interest organisation that gives much needed therapy to children and adults with autism and other mental health problems, through animal therapy and bush craft.
The farm is owned by Gary and Linda Wright, two of the kindest most selfless people I have ever met. Recently Gary and Linda have received the devastating news that they will have to relocate the farm, due to a huge increase in their mortgage, they are being forced to sell the farm, leaving nowhere for them to continue looking after the adults and children who benefit so much from the farm.
Gary and Linda may have to sell the animals that provide the children so much therapy, possibly ending in some of the animals they love so much being sent to the slaughter house, unless we can raise enough money to keep the animals. These aren't your average farm animals, they have been born and raised in a loving environment to help the children, they are extremely tame and very much loved by all who meet them.
This information has come on top of the heartbreaking news of Gary's lovely mum Christine suddenly passing away. Having spoken to Linda recently it is clear that they desperately need some help, and life has become unthinkably distressing for them, they are on the verge of losing everything and they simply don't deserve it at all.
We have arranged an all day Halloween rave at Broomhill Estate on the 28th of October to raise 20,000 for Gary and Linda, please see the link below for tickets.
We also hope to raise another £10,000 to relocate the animals and keep them fed and in a safe location, so that they can continue the care farm elsewhere. Gary and Linda have worked so hard to build a magical experience for everyone who visits the farm, funds are now desperately needed to keep it going. We urgently need your help to do that! Gary and Linda have spent their lives helping the community of North Devon, any funds donated are beyond appreciated.
