My sister has Crohn’s disease and needs a chemo infusion every 7 weeks to remain in remission—at the 7 week mark since her last IV, her insurance got canceled on a glitch. We called over and over, hearing different answers each time, and ultimately they refused to reinstate her insurance even though it was canceled by a computer error on their side. I can’t stress this enough—without this IV, her life is in danger. We got the infusion clinic to agree to let her be a cash patient since she lost her insurance, but it’s going to be at least $4000. Asking for money is awkward but anything you can spare will be insanely helpful!
