Help Jamal and his family during the famine in Gaza.

Hello everyone, my name is Razan. The man next to me is my incredible fiancé Jamal. We have currently been displaced from Rafah to Al-Zawaida due to the incessant Israeli attacks.

Life before this was full of hope and the promise of something new. Jamal had proposed to me just last year on July 1st, 2023. For three months we reveled in the excitement of what our future held together. We could have never imagined what October would bring.

My dowry was delivered, plans rolling forward as we planned for our wedding, which would've taken place on March 3rd, 2024. Everything was paid for and we were beyond ready to commence the ceremony that would bond us together forever.
We could have never known what was to happen next. October 7th. At 6:30 AM, my brothers sleeping before another school day, we were jolted awake by the sounds of missels and bombing. We instantly thought this was just like any other time they would terrorize us. How wrong we were.
We were scattered from our homes, desperately seeking any kind of safety, a roof over our heads. The bombs continued to rain down, and I was separated from my Jamal. Instead of us planning our future together, we were forced apart while bombs and leaflets were dropped from the sky. After a week apart we found each other and decided the safest place for us was to go was my home.
These are before and after photos of Jamal with his car, decimated by bombs and gunfire.

Unfortunately, home was no longer a refuge. We were displaced almost immediately and had to seek shelter at the College of Industry in Khan Yunis. We were forced to live in tents, exposed to the elements, disease, raw sewage, and constant bombing in the immediate area.
Early December came and we were forced to flee to Rafah. For 5 months we stayed there, waiting in terror to see what new horror the zionist occupation could bestow upon us. Suffering became our new normal as we struggled desperately to find uncontaminated food and water, trying to make due with our tents as the bombs came down around us. Medical aid was nowhere to be found, and everyday brought with it the fear of death.

On May 9th 2024 more leaflets were dropped from the sky, ordering us to evacuate to a new "safe zone," Al-Zawaida. We gathered what little we had and fled, hoping to stay alive through this horrific time. Upon arrival in Al-Zawaida, we had nothing. We slept on the asphalt covered streets, our only light coming from the one cell phone we carried with us. Exposed to the elements, we dealt with starving dogs, mice, insects, debris... the list goes on. No human being should live in these conditions.
We decided that we were going to get married regardless of the situation. We don't know how much time is left for us and we want to live as fully as we can. Now we are needing around $800 for a tent for us to live in. We are also in desperate need of medical supplies, food, and general living necessities. Please, please consider donating. You will help save our lives!

In order to evacuate to the safety of Egypt, we need $5,000 per person. Anything is helpful to us I promise you. I truly hope you can help us escape this nightmare that we've been living for months. Any form of your support fills us with hope, thank you so, so much for reading our story.

This was once Jamal's beautiful clothing boutique, now turned to rubble and ash under the bombing amidst the genocide.
