Urgent Funds Needed for New Service Dog

Hi, this is Kathy from Bark from the Heart Rescue. My neighbor in the La Grange Highlands, Robin Mazzuca, has had MS for the over the 20 years I have known her. Many of you may have met Robin at The Barker Shop where she would wait in the store area in her wheel chair while we groomed her service dog. We would move as fast as we could so she didn't have to be without he dog for long.

In the last year and a half the unimaginable happened. Last year June Robin's retired dog Wilson passed away at 14 years old. Then Luka, her newest dog, was diagnosed with Leukemia just 1 1/2 weeks after Wilson's death. Luka passed away last year August 21st, he was 4 years and 4 months old. This left Robin with no service dog.

This past year Robin has been working hard to quickly get another dog. Service dogs don't come quickly to anyone. The chosen dog is trained just for Robin at Northern Indiana Service Dogs. Charlie, the new dog, is a month away from finishing his training. Robin also needs to finish gathering enough funds. Currently she is $5,000 away.

Please help Robin get the dog she desperately needs.
