I never thought I would be asking for donations on GoFundMe.

My mother was originally diagnosed with Paraganglioma in 2016, after multiple surgeries as well as Lutathera in 2020 with a modest response. Her disease progressed in the early 2024, she is now stage 4. Further surgery was not recommended in the United States since the tumor now metastasized, therefore she started on Temozolomide in April 2024. She took 2 courses of chemo, unfortunately, she got worse and chemotherapy did not help, she also developed a severe infection in her body after the Chemo. Our family decided to fly her to Turkey, we got her here in time and managed to place her in the Memorial Hospital where they treated her for the next 15 days for her infection due to courses of chemo. She no longer has an infection and now is ready for surgery, however, our family is financially struggling with gathering the needed amount in a timely manner. All of these medical expenses are out of pocket since this is a Private Hospital.

I'm raising funds to pay for the costs of hospital procedures and upcoming surgery overseas in Istanbul. This is heartbreaking for me and for my family. At this point, we are trying our best to make sense of the situation. I know there are many ways to get creative and we are open to all of them!
