My brother Joshua traveled to India at the beginning of this year to visit the local monasteries and support the community there. While on his travels his health took a sudden turn for the worse and was diagnosed with kidney failure.
The doctors informed him that he would require a regular dialysis treatment to stay alive. Having already conducted his first batch of dialysis treatments and intubation to help him breathe the hospital costs have already traveled north of $11,000.
Our family is desperately trying to figure out how we will be able to afford this critical treatment long-term. He has applied for Medicaid and Medicare coverage, but the approval process can take months. In the meantime, he is at risk of missing crucial dialysis appointments, which could have life-threatening consequences.
This is where I am humbly asking for your help. Any contribution you can make, no matter how small, would make a tremendous difference in allowing me to get the dialysis treatments he need to survive. The funds raised will be used exclusively to pay for my ongoing dialysis sessions and related medical costs.
Time is of the essence, as his health though currently stable, can rapidly decline without regular dialysis. I am scared and uncertain about his future, but I am hopeful that with your support, he can focus on his recovery and regaining quality of life.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for any help you can provide during this incredibly difficult time. I am deeply grateful.
