Urgent Funds for Doyle's Kidney Infusions

My name is Betty and I’m raising funds for my husband’s kidney transplant treatment. We have pondered and pondered on this idea and at this point feel like it’s our only choice.

He only has one kidney and it’s his transplanted kidney. His medicine caused the kidney to start failing and there are infusion treatments that can stop this but our co-insurance has to be paid up front before the infusion.

Our cost is $580 for every infusion which will be administered every 2 weeks. If they work, after 5 months they will only be administered once a month but this is a lifelong thing.

We make $326/month too much to qualify for Medicaid so that’s not an option. There is no financial aid but his doctor is currently trying to find a discount coupon. The problem is Medicare is a government program so most coupons won’t work with Medicare. The last option I have is try to get supplemental insurance at my job but open enrollment is in October. I did apply for a life changing event to see if they’ll allow me to enroll sooner but these things take time.
