ALVIN IS IN URGENT NEED OF FUNDING

                                                    So that the family can get a second opinion referral and medical lawyer.


He had a fall and hit the back of his head. Causing a haemorrhage in the brain which  lead to a stroke on the 1st of December 2018, we were all going out shopping for Xmas and his baby son's birthday.

In Charing Cross, he had brain surgery, which evacuated the blood, it was a success with no complications. 

He was sent to the REHABILITATION UNIT at Northwick Park Hospital, since being there he has recently developed hydrocephalus ( FLUID) on the back of his head- which is increasing and spreading to the sides.

Left to get worse and compress on his brain, eventually his stem cell, it would stop him from breathing.  Northwick Park Hospital and Charing Cross have advised palatable care, after leaving Alvin to deteriorate.

Prior to this, he was making progression and just under 4 months had been put on Minimum consciousness level.

He has a simple tracheostomy  ( smallest size inner tube in the neck),  he has healthy heart, lungs and other organs.  Does not require any assistance in breathing or artificial machines.

Northwick Park Hospital had referred Alvin as matter of urgency to Neurosurgeon  at Charing Cross  who had performed the original surgery.

After almost a week of it being referred and the fluid growing. Charing Cross declined to perform any type of surgery to relieve the fluid in Alvin's skull.


There is no reason for a healthy young man not to have any intervention, in the case of hydrocephalus ( FLUID), especially as it is the first time  (ACUTE) it has happened since his brain injury. 

Please help us to raise funds for a second opinion and a medical lawyer.

Charing Cross and Northwick Park Hospital have not looked at any other hospitals or opinions other than the neurosurgeon at Charing Cross, who upon Alvin's discharge would not do anything if he was concerned with Alvin's heart or breathing .
