This is my dog Spurgeon. He is a brussels griffon. He was diagnosed a year ago with a heart murmur and needed heart medication. He has been doing great for a year. Recently he had syncope episodes. Best described as dizzy spells and he falls down on the floor. It looks a bit like a seizure but it's not and usually very short. He started having them more frequently and was referred for a echo. His echo showed he has a slow heartbeat and he needs a pacemaker. This boy is still full of life and spank. He wrestles with his siblings,loves to go for car rides and loves to eat. The cadiologist said without a pacemaker je will die. This has something to with the electricity to the heart. His heart is not beating correctly and there are no other medications that can help him. Some days these episodes are more frequent and it's scary for him and me. The surgery is estimated to be between 6500 to 7000. That includes post op visits. I am planning on taking him to Missouri vet hospital. (Mu) My vet will consult with their surgeon and the surgery will be scheduled as soon as possible. Every second counts. I will do everything I can to save my baby. It's just me and my pets. I know times are tough financially for everyone but I can't do this on my own. Any amount will help and as many shares as you can. Spurgeon and I will be so grateful for any help. I will be updating often. Right now we are waiting to get an appt for an atropine test.
