Hello, so last week I had a near death scare where I was rushed to the hospital after an incident of severe SVT. SVT is a heart condition I’ve lived with my whole life and usually doesn’t affect my day to day life until last week. At work, I experienced an episode where I passed out and was revived by paramedics with a heart rate of 250 beats/min. After multiple doses of medicine to slow my heart rate nothing worked and I had no blood pressure for 20 minutes. Because there was nothing else they could do, they placed me in the ambulance and electro shocked my heart to restart it and hopefully slow it down. After over an hour of my heart racing at over 250 beats a minute, the electro shock of the defibrillator worked. My heart slowed back down to a normal pace. I was rushed to the er in critical condition and spent the rest of the day undergoing tests and being monitored. After meeting with a cardiologist/electrophysiologist they recommend I have an svt ablation. This procedure will guide a catheter into my heart and burn off the entrance ventricle that sporadically decides to pump blood. This will cure my condition and make me never have to worry about it again. They let me know the seriousness of my episode last Thursday and this would be life changing/saving. Long story short, as a “young” adult I never really picked the best insurance plan at work when open e dolmen’s came around. This has never been a problem until now. Im

booled for a surgeon this Wednesday 12/18 for surgery but the cost is extremely high due to him being out of network. None of my “in network” drs are available until February and I’d feel better being seen by him since he was with me in the er. I’ve never in my life thought I’d be in a situation where I’d need to ask for help, but here I am. Anything anyone can give would be much appreciated.
