Urgent: Fund Barrington's Temporary Dog Park

In March 2025, the Friends of the Barrington Dog Park was given little notice that the Town of Barrington decided to close the dog park for up to 7 months to accommodate the redesign and construction of more playing fields nearby. This has left hundreds of dogs and their owners with no place in town to socialize or exercise their dogs. The Friends of the Barrington Dog Park asked the Town to create a temporary dog park and cover the cost of the fence rental, but of course, the Town declined as there is money for everything else BUT the dog park. Thankfully, a Barrington couple stepped in and offered to anonymously front the association with the funds needed to get the fence installed as quickly as possible, and Fence Depot did not fail. Within hours of receiving the Town and State DEM approval letter, Fence Depot had their guys at the site and the fence was installed.

Now it is time to raise the funds necessary to offset the cost of the install that our anonymous donor provided to us. We ask that you think about how important the dog park is to you and your dog(s) and to donate generously.
