Long story short, we need to drill a new well to have water at home!

Finding a house in 2023 was such a challenge and we were blessed to be able to find a beautiful home; however we couldn't forsee that the well would run dry a year and a half later. Our well has been low yeilding since we moved in and we have created short term solutions to have some water at home, but the well is completely dry.

We appreciate everything else that our home provides, but it has been a constant pain to have days where we wake up to no water in the house. Given the typical lifespan of a well, it should have been replaced long before the house was sold to us, and due to the competitive nature of the current housing market, this is something that was not made clear when buying the home. On days where we have had no water, we've had to come up with temporary but not ideal solutions such as showering at work or the gym, doing laundry at parent's houses, using disposable silverware and dishes, and buying large jugs of water to use as a "sink". These instances would usually just last for a day at a time, but now our well has been dry for two weeks and it is officially at the end of its lifespan. Our only option is to drill a new well, but this is something we won't be able to do on our own.

New homeownership is enough of a challenge on its own, but having the stress of a scarce and unreliable water source is something that's been a huge burden. We pray that the new well will be plentiful and be able to sustain us in our home.
