Imagine EVERYTHING IN YOUR HOME from 4ft and lower, just gone because you only had time to get yourself and your dogs out.
It happened THAT FAST.
Please pray and send help to those that you can. It means so much to those that have lost everything.
Here’s her message to me this morning. She didn’t even ask for money or anything- just prayers. This is the only thing I can do for her since she’s so far away!
“Please keep me and my doggies and my area in prayers. I have lost everything in this flood. I just finished moving to Beaumont in Sept 13. Me and the dogs got out of my new place at 2am. Luckily the dog that I’ve been training for my son woke me up. The water was ankle deep in my apartment and 15 minutes later it was above my baseboards so I got my dogs out to my truck and I was going to go back in and get my purse it was rising too quickly. I just left and got to higher Ground and we stayed in my truck for 24 hours. We are in a hotel now because as I was sitting in my truck at 2:30 in the morning I called and booked a hotel knowing they were going to fill up. I was able to get back to my place last night. My son sent me 100 bucks so I can go to academy and get some waders and boots So I could safely go back into my place. Everything is floating around and ruined except for the things high up on my walls and in my upper kitchen cabinets. The water mark in my place is three feet in some places and up to 4 feet in other places. I was able to get some hanging clothes and my purse. I have a friend driving the two hours today if there’s a clear path to help me go back in and get what I can before the water wicks up the wall. My veterans clinic took damage and where the nearest clinic for some of these guys for two hours around. They are going to set up a mobile unit. I won’t be part of the mobile unit because I’m not an essential employee so I’m not sure when I’ll go back to work. It hasn’t been declared a national disaster but if you look at the news all the way from Houston to Beaumont it hit us harder than Harvey and this was just a tropical depression expected the dump 12 inches but we got over 40 inches in 48 hours here where I’m at in of that 40 inches most of it came within 18 hours. Hugs and positive thoughts and prayers are appreciated.”
