Fiona was abandoned at the shelter by the only family she knew — all because she had an ear infection and issues with her eyes watering and becoming crusty. Instead of getting her the medical care she deserved, they left her behind confused, heartbroken, and alone.

She spent only about a week in the shelter before staff reached out begging us to help her. Fiona was shutting down emotionally. She looked devastated, and everyone believed it was from the betrayal she had experienced… but now we know she was also becoming very sick.

What started as kennel cough has rapidly turned into pneumonia.

Tonight, Fiona was rushed to VEG Emergency Hospital because she was struggling to breathe. She is currently receiving emergency treatment including:

Oxygen chamber therapy

IV fluids

Injectable medications

Intensive monitoring and care

Our emergency bill is already over $3,200 and continues to rise.

Fiona deserves a chance to heal. She deserved better than being discarded when she needed help most. We are doing everything we can to save her, but we cannot do this without the community standing beside her. We can’t save her without you!
