Hi there, I’m Meaghan! My big brother Ryan is in need of some immediate help beyond what I can give and I’m hoping with the networks of our networks we can help to keep him afloat while he goes through a very challenging time with his health. He has four kiddos - three that were foster to adopt and one born after by a miracle. He has the biggest heart, works his tail off to support his family, and now due to medical challenges he is out of work and facing major medical bills.

Here’s his story:

On December 29th 2020 he was diagnosed with transient alteration of awareness.

On January 4th 2021 he was seen and they addressed transient alteration of awareness and stiff person syndrome.

April 12th 2021 he saw another doctor who noted a spell of abnormal behavior and partial epilepsy with impairment of consciousness with intricable epilepsy.

April 9th of 2025 he was seen and told it was partial epilepsy with impairment of consciousness and complex partial seizures with Consciousness impaired.

In all of this no one has truly every been sure of their diagnoses and therefore going on a hope and prayer with medication.

Skip to this month - his seizures started back full force. As a last ditch effort he was taken to the Mayo Emergency Room in WI (a 4 hour drive) in hopes that they would have a specialist able to help. They did take him seriously and are committed to trying to help figure this out which is SUCH a relief!

The catch - Initially being told that with his financial situation, he would qualify for assistance, he then found out that it is only partial and not going to cover his needed neurology appts that could cost up to 300 each 35 min appt.

Ryan works in manual labor which also often requires travel. With his seizures happening more often and no known cause or solution he has been unable to work his job at the moment.
