Urgent Field Hospital For 250K Sudanese Refugees

The conflict in Sudan, which started on April 15, 2023, continues to affect civilians in unimaginable ways. The civilian population in Western Darfur has particularly been severely affected by the war resulting in casualties in the tens of thousands. More than 250,000 civilians fled the violence to neighboring Chad creating yet one of the most severe humanitarian crises in recent history. The mass exodus could not have come in a worse time. As the rainy season started, thousands are without shelter or basic medical care adding huge stress to the already extremely poor health and environmental situation in the town of Adré in Eastern Chad.

Given the total absence of any effective national or international humanitarian organization to provide any relief, a group of about 160 medical professionals who fled the violence in Sudan decided to start a field hospital to provide basic medical care to those refugees whose numbers are increasing by the hour and who live in extremely harsh conditions. The field hospital will provide basic medical services to thousands of:

1- Women victims of rape and violence

2- Pregnant women

3- Orphaned and non-accompanied children

4- Wounded civilians

5- Traumatized population with different kinds of ailments

This campaign is to raise $50,000 to fund the establishment of this field hospital which urgently needs:

1-Tents to house the operations of the hospital.

2- Basic medical equipment and gear

3- Beds and stretchers

4- Medicines and life-saving medical care.
