Urgent Emergency Relief for Yagi Typhoon Victims in Vietnam
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Tra Nguyen, and I am an international student from Hanoi, Vietnam, currently studying in Washington, D.C.
I’m organizing this fundraiser to help those affected by Typhoon Yagi, which has brought unimaginable devastation to northern Vietnam. The storm has left 326 people dead, with countless others missing or displaced. Entire villages have been buried by landslides, families have lost their homes, and relentless flooding has engulfed my home city of Hanoi. Thousands have been forced to abandon their homes, while many more cannot work as their communities remain submerged in waist-high water.
Although I haven’t had the chance to return to Vietnam since 2016, this disaster has directly affected many of my friends, family, and everyone else in the country. With no access to insurance, the residents of the hardest-hit areas are left vulnerable, struggling to rebuild their lives. Homes, schools, and livelihoods have been destroyed, and they need urgent help to recover.
Our goal is to provide emergency relief to those in need. The funds raised will go toward:
1. Immediate shelter and food supplies for displaced families.
2. Medical aid for the injured and vulnerable.
3. Clean water and sanitation kits to prevent the spread of waterborne diseases in flooded areas.
4. Temporary housing and basic necessities, such as blankets, clothing, and hygiene supplies for those who have lost everything.
5. Agricultural support for farmers whose crops have been damaged, providing seeds and tools to help them recover their livelihoods.
This is the worst natural disaster Vietnam has faced in decades, and every dollar will help the victims recover and rebuild their lives.
Even a small donation can make a significant difference. A cup of coffee costs $5, which is enough to feed a family of four in Vietnam for one day. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps these families rebuild their lives.
Please consider donating and sharing this campaign to bring hope and relief to those who need it most. Thank you for your compassion and generosity!
