Hi, my name is Crystal, and I never thought I’d be in a position where I’d have to ask for help like this — but right now, I truly need it.
I’m reaching out because my dog, Baxter, urgently needs dental care — and I can’t do this alone.
Baxter is 14 years old, a Maltese–Bichon mix, and my absolute best friend. He’s been by my side through some of the hardest moments of my life — always loving, always loyal, always there. He isn’t just a pet, he’s family.
Right now, he’s dealing with serious dental issues that can no longer be ignored. Dental infections in dogs aren’t just about discomfort — they can quickly become dangerous, spreading through the body and shortening their lifespan. The longer this is left untreated, the more it puts his life at risk.
Because of his age, he also needs full bloodwork testing before any procedure to make sure he can safely go under anesthesia. This is an essential step — and it adds to the overall cost, but it’s necessary to protect his life.
And that’s the part that’s hardest to sit with — knowing this is time-sensitive, and feeling unable to act fast enough on my own.
Over the past while, life has been financially overwhelming. Work has been inconsistent due to my health, and I was recently diagnosed with gluten intolerance, which has impacted my day-to-day life more than I expected.
I am also dealing with my own dental issues, but Id always choose to put Baxters needs first. I can wait — he cannot.
This fundraiser is focused on covering Baxter’s veterinary dental care, including:
• Full exam
• Pre-anesthesia bloodwork testing
• Cleaning under anesthesia
• Possible extractions
• Medications and aftercare
I have government help now for my own dental work. BAXTER is my TOP Priority with this Fund, to give him the care he needs to stay healthy and live as long as possible.
I’m not someone who asks for help easily. But Baxter has given me so much in this life, and I want to do right by him in this moment.
If you’re able to donate, even a small amount, it would mean more than I can express. And if you can’t, sharing this would truly help more than you know.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any support you can give.
And to those who have already donated — I truly can’t thank you enough. Your support has already helped me take the first step by booking a follow up appointment to get the full assessment and cost estimate & breakdown for Baxter’s treatment. I’ll be sharing that for transparency for anyone who would like to see it.
