Hello Everyone,
I feel very nervous asking for help. I’m usually able to manage things on my own, but this year has pushed me past my limits physically, mentally, and financially. I’m currently on short-term disability for mental health treatment and am living out of state to receive that care, which means I have no way to earn extra income right now to address my urgent dental needs.
Unfortunately, there are no dental offices that accept my insurance back home, so I need to complete this treatment before November 14. After that date, all procedures will become full out-of-pocket costs.
While my dental insurance is still active during disability, it only covers part of the treatment for the five teeth. My insurance will cover the removal of the teeth. What it doesn’t fully cover are the bone grafts and protective membranes, which are essential. One of the only dentists who accepts my insurance told me plainly that without these, my remaining teeth and jaw will face permanent, lifelong damage.
I’m doing everything I can to preserve my teeth and jaw health. Despite a rigorous dental routine, it has been a struggle because of lifelong medical issues making it an uphill battle. Currently, I have major bone infection and gum infection due to these teeth. I am unable to eat normally for fear of continuing to break my teeth. I struggle to have enough proper nutrition daily. My biggest fear is losing the rest of teeth on top of the current five because I can't afford the care needed.
Any amount of support, no matter how small, or even a kind wish of good luck means the world to me as I work toward getting the dental care I need.
Sincerely,
Julia
