Help Mike Get the Heart Transplant He Desperately Needs

On Thursday, my dad’s life changed forever. He went into heart failure and was rushed into the ICU. The doctors told us the only chance he has to survive is a heart transplant.

My dad has always been the rock of our family, hardworking, selfless, and the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help a neighbor. But this year, things took a devastating turn. In April, he lost his job and, with it, his health insurance. What we thought would be a short search for a new job has taken much longer than expected, and during this time his health has declined rapidly. He’s now fighting for his life in the hospital.

The costs for his ICU stay and transplant surgery are overwhelming. Something no family can prepare for. Without insurance, the financial burden is unimaginable. But we refuse to give up hope.
