EMERGENCY SURGERY Needed for Sweet Remi's Recovery

Hi, this is my kitty, Remi.

I rescued Remi back in May of this year from the Kennsington and Allegheny area in Philadelphia when he was just 8 weeks. He is now 6 months old and is very sick :(. He has thrown up multiple times this past week with worms showing up, and now is unable to keep his food down.

Unfortunately, there is a blockage in his tummy which is making him constipated and causing him to lose weight. I went to the ER twice thinking it was worms but the blacked seems to be a foreign object that isn’t moving. Surgery was estimated $7k- $10k. There’s absolutely no way I could afford this. We are keeping him on IV and getting fluids to get him through Monday and hopefully to a vet that can be cheaper.

He will need to get put down if surgery is not performed. Please help me save my pet kitty, Remi as he has been the light of my life and I know he has so much more life to experience. I plan on using these funds to cover his ER visit, his surgery, and recovery as I know this will take some time.

9/29 UPDATE: Remi was given IV fluids overnight and sadly the foreign body object has not moved. It is currently stuck in his small intestine and needs to be taken out ASAP. We are going to pick him up and hope for the best from a vet clinic that will be willing to do a low cost surgery

9/30 update: Remi was able to get into a low cost surgery facility at the Providence animal Clinic! Thank goodness charges were waaaay less than other places and I was able to get the surgery done. Remi is already doing so much better and even was able to eat some today ❤️

UPDATE 9/30: I am calling a clinic at 9 AM EAST to hopefully get him in today as all locations so far are quoting the same or unable to get him in right away, I will update ASAP! Please be praying he gets in

9/30 11:51 AM Update: I have emailed 3 different locations Remi’s medical record information. I have one place willing to take him in the morning for a way better price than the ER (which understandably so that’s just unfortunately how that can work so no hate to the ER Vets out there mine were absolutely amazing and have been extremely helpful in trying to help me find a low cost surgery location). I will update everyone once I hear back. Surgery will hopefully be tomorrow ❤️

1:03 PM EAST Update: God has answered my prayers!! Remi was approved low cost surgery at the Providence Animal Center https://providenceac.org for 2 PM TODAY. Surgery is for $600 after being quoted $8k all day, to $3k-$5k, to settling for $1200k at another low cost and then just to be called last minute for this surgery. Thank yall so much. 5:25 PM EAST UPDATE: Surgery was successful! He got neutered today too so buddy is going through it just thankful he is alive and feeling better. Already was wanting to drink water when we got home which is way more than what was going on these past few days. I just wanted to confirm that the silicone piece was confirmed to be the obstruction in his intestines. So best BELIEVE I will be notifying the company cus I don’t want this to happen to anyone else’s furry babies

10/1 UPDATE: Hello everyone! I just wanted to provide another update and let you know Remi is doing GREAT!! He is back to his regular self and all around just doing so much better. I am so thankful for everyone’s suggestions, support and prayers. I posted another photo of his incision just in case your baby has to go through this. It’s large and scary looking but thankfully he is OK
