This morning, I woke up to my sweet boy, Nemo, crying in pain. He was crouched in the position to pee but couldn’t urinate. I rushed him to the emergency vet, terrified for what they might say.

Despite all my efforts to prevent it, Nemo has developed a blockage in his urethra — a life-threatening condition that needs urgent treatment. The total cost to fix this is over $3,000, which is far beyond what I have available. Thankfully, the vet was able to work with the amount I could pay today, but it’s only a temporary solution. Nemo still needs full treatment to survive.

Nemo is only 3 years old and full of life. If you know the bond we share with our pets, you understand how heartbreaking it is to see them in pain. I would never ask for help lightly, but I can’t imagine losing him this young.
