I'm starting this GoFundMe as a last resort for my dad who is in urgent need of financial support to receive life-saving medical care. It kills me to see the hardworking, selfless, and proud man who raised my siblings and me rendered helpless as a consequence of his illness. The man who, until recently, dedicated his life to serving others is now unable to work and provide for us after suffering from a severe heart attack that has left him with a weak heart, which in turn is exponentially causing more damage to his body with every passing day. I'm sure there are other kind-hearted people like my father in the world who have the empathy to help out a stranger in their time of need.

I have included a detailed prognosis below for those who need to know and will readily provide further information if necessary.

Required procedure:

- Urgent abdominal tapping

- A CRT-D (Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy with a Defibrillator) implant for his heart.

He is suffering from severe ascites (abdominal edema) as a consequence of his weak heart.

His doctors urge us to perform abdominal tapping as soon as possible as well as getting the CRT-D implant to prevent the rapid deterioration of his health.

Main points:

- Low heart ejection fraction

- Severe abdominal edema (ascites)

- Deteriorating kidney and liver function (due to the ascites)

- Exponential loss of mobility and appetite

- Gradually developing sleep apnea

Context:

After having suffered a cardiac arrest in 2021, my dad's body suffered greatly, leaving him with a poorly functioning heart and kidney. His current EF (ejection fraction) is only 20%, which is the main contributing factor to his severe abdominal water accumulation (ascites).

Due to his condition, he has become unable to work; rather, it has debilitated him from many physical activities. Walking, getting out of bed, even eating is becoming increasingly difficult for him with every passing day as his ascites gets more severe. At this point, he can't sleep laying down and has to stay upright, and can't sleep for over 1 hour at a time due to sleep apnea.

My dad requires regular medical care and attention, which has taken a heavy toll on our family financially.

He has undergone a few successful treatments since his cardiac arrest, including having cardiac ablation surgery. However, at this point, we are running low on funds to continue his treatment, and we're seeing his health deteriorate as a consequence.

Realistically, we do not have the financial capacity to finance an abdominal tapping and a CRT-D implant, thus I have resorted to seeking help from anyone willing to extend a helping hand.
