Urgent Care Needed for Miracle's Painful Wound
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tia and I’m reaching out with so much love and urgency for our sweet kitten Miracle a true fighter since day one.
We found Miracle the day she was born her umbilical cord was still attached, and she was lying in a shoebox outside with two other
newborn kittens. Sadly, the others had already passed, but Miracle was crying and moving, holding onto life with everything she had. We scooped her up, kept her warm, fed her, and named her Miracle because she truly was one.
She’s now 7 months old full of energy, love, and personality. She’s incredibly attached to us, and she hates being alone. She follows our older cats everywhere and always wants to be part of the family fun.
But recently, something went terribly wrong.
We came home one day to find a painful wound on her back. It wasn’t there that morning. We’re not sure if she was bitten by a spider, scratched herself while playing, or hurt while following our older cats into one of their hiding spots. What we do know is: it’s getting worse.
The wound is scabbing, but she keeps scratching it open — we can tell it burns and stings because she cries and screams if we even try to touch near it. She’s restless, hasn’t slept through the night, and has been constantly crying. Even our other cats are avoiding her, which breaks her heart — she’s used to being surrounded by love and playtime.
We’ve done everything we can at home
Trimmed her nails
Put her in a protective cone
Applied pet-safe wound spray and hydrogel
It helps for a little while… until she scratches again and reopens the wound. It’s a vicious, painful cycle, and she’s exhausted — and so are we.
We’ve been calling every vet clinic we can, emergency vet care in NYC is expensive and we simply can’t right now. But she needs professional help she needs to be seen by a vet as soon as possible to rule out infection, get the right treatment, and finally be able to rest, heal, and be her happy, bouncy self again.
Whether it’s $5 or $50, your support means the world From our hearts to yours — thank you for caring, and thank you for being part of Miracle’s journey. Below is the wound it was healing but she keep scratching the scab off
