Urgent Care Needed for Kion's Medical Journey

Kion is a loving, sweet, and amazing frenchie. He is 3 years old and currently having the fight of his life. We noticed on Monday June 23, 2025 that he was looking a little sad and walking a little funny. We decided to take him to the vet just for peace of mind that he was okay. While there, the vet assumed it might’ve been discomfort from cystine stone in his bladder or urethra since he has a history for cystine stones and had just had surgery in January 2025 to remove some since he was struggling to pee. We decided to neuter him since it helps reduce the likelihood of the stones returning. After 12 hours, 2 surgeries in one, and $2700 we got the call that the surgeries went well but Kion was not improving. He lost sensation in his back legs and was panting and visibly stressed (potentially due to anxiety of him not being able to use his back legs). Shortly after that call, the recommendation to go to San Antonio for a neurologist was given and we accepted it. We knew IVDD was always a potential issue. We tried our absolute best to prevent it. Our bill estimate in San Antonio is looking to be about $10,000 to $12,000 with all hospital fees, surgeries, and the MRI. We normally never ask for help but with this so sudden we’re a little short and trying to find out where to get the extra funds from. Anything helps. Even if it’s just a share. We greatly appreciate it.
