Help Save Francis Rennie's Life

Our hearts are breaking as we ask for your help to save the life of Francis Rennie, a 24-year-old resident of Pearls, St. Andrew's, Grenada.

Francis is a hardworking, respectful, and kind young man who is well known throughout the Pearls community. Every day, he operates his small business, serving drinks, chicken, and chips with a smile. He is the type of young man who works honestly, treats people with respect, and has always been willing to help others.

On Sunday night, Francis's life changed forever.

An altercation broke out nearby that had absolutely nothing to do with him. During the chaos, one of his friends was struck by bottles that were being thrown. Without hesitation, Francis bent down to help his injured friend. In that selfless moment, he was brutally attacked.

He suffered a devastating stab wound to his back that severely damaged his liver. Moments later, he was stabbed again in the abdomen, causing catastrophic injuries so severe that his intestines were exposed.

Francis was rushed to Princess Alice Hospital before being transferred urgently to the General Hospital, where a surgical team was waiting to save his life. He underwent emergency surgery to stabilize his condition. However, after a CT scan revealed even more serious internal injuries, he required a second emergency surgery.

Doctors discovered that his pancreas had also been damaged. Digestive fluids from the injured pancreas had begun leaking into his abdomen, creating life-threatening complications and making his fight for survival even more difficult.

Today, Francis remains in critical condition, courageously fighting for his life.

His family is now facing overwhelming medical expenses. There is also the possibility that he may need emergency international medical treatment if specialized care becomes necessary.

Francis was an innocent bystander. He was not involved in the altercation. His only "mistake" was stopping to help an injured friend.

No family should have to endure this heartbreak alone.
